Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to know how to play Pickleball?
No, but if you can watch a few videos. There are LOTS. We will have a 20-30 minute instruction on most of the how-tos prior to the tournament starting. There will also be people there who can help with questions.
How do I know which division I will be in?
Divisions are basically 2.5 is a beginner, 3.0-3.5 is intermediate, and 4.0 + is advanced.
Why do we have divisions in this tournament?
We will do the best we can to set up evenly matched teams.
How many matches will I get?
4-5 matches.
Paddles/rackets/things you hit the ball with, will I need one?
You will need to bring your own paddle. You can purchase your own paddles or just ask a friend to borrow theirs. They have them to rent as well, but you will need to tell us if you require one.
Do I have to be a member of the AEA to attend?
We encourage everyone to become a member of the AEA, but you don't have to be a member to participate in this event.
What is your cancellation policy?
You have 14 days for a 50% refund. After that, no refunds. Items etc. are purchased and reserved based on attendance numbers. You can always swap out person for person.
