Launched in 1993 as the Alberta Electric League, the organization operated in two divisions — the Calgary Electric Club (CEC) and the Capital Region Electric Club (CREC). In 2017, the clubs joined forces to become the Alberta Electrical Alliance. Today, more than 100 leading companies and organizations representing more than 1,000 individuals are AEA members.
