Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, played on a badminton-sized court with a slightly lower net than tennis. All levels of play are welcome. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to know how to play Pickleball?
No, but if you can watch a few videos. There are LOTS. We will have a 20-30 minute instruction on most of the how-tos prior to the tournament starting. There will also be people there who can help with questions.
How do I know which division I will be in?
Divisions are basically 2.5 is a beginner, 3.0-3.5 is intermediate, and 4.0 + is advanced. We will do our best to match people up with abilities.
Why do we have divisions in this tournament?
We will do the best we can to set up evenly matched teams.
How many matches will I get?
4-5 matches.
Paddles/rackets/things you hit the ball with, will I need one?
You will need to bring your own paddle. You can purchase your own paddles or just ask a friend to borrow theirs. They have them to rent as well.
Do I have to be a member of the AEA to attend?
We encourage everyone to become a member of the AEA, but you don't have to be a member to participate in this event.
What is your cancellation policy?
You have 14 days for a 50% refund. After that, no refunds. Items etc. are purchased and reserved based on attendance numbers. You can always swap out person for person.
